Gizmotchy G31

The Gizmotchy G31 is a 3-element dual-polarity beam antenna designed for the 10 and 11-meter bands (Amateur Radio and CB). It is notable for its modular design, allowing users to start with a 3-element setup and expand it by adding “Power Booster” kits.

Element Configuration: Although called a 3-element beam, it contains a total of 9 elements (3 vertical and 6 horizontal) to support dual polarity.
Performance: Offers a forward gain of 12 dB and a front-to-back ratio of approximately 25–28 dB.
Power Handling: Typically available in two versions:
G31: Standard with 1,500-watt gamma matches.
G35: High-power version with 5,000-watt gamma matches.
Feed System: Uses two separate feed lines, allowing users to switch between horizontal and vertical modes using a standard coax switch.
Mechanical Build:
Boom Length: 108 inches (9 feet).
Wind Rating: Rated for 135 km/h (90 mph) when assembled correctly.
Materials: Constructed from aircraft-grade 6063-T5 aluminum tubing.
Usage & Modular Growth
The G31 is the foundational unit in the Gizmotchy line. By adding Gizmotchy Power Boosters, you can convert it into larger models:
Add one booster to create a G41 (4-element beam).
Add two boosters to create a G51 (5-element beam).
Support Kits: For configurations exceeding 5 elements, a Universal Antenna Support Kit (SK12 or SK18) is recommended for structural stability.
